Today's message in the Rhapsody of Realities is, for me, another lesson in humility. The Lord Jesus taught that anyone who's desirous of leadership must be willing and ready, first and foremost, to serve. In other words, faithfulness in rendering service in the Kingdom, in whatever capacity, is the key to greatness with God.
Sometime ago, I wrote a blog here in the Rhapsody of Realities Forum titled "Lessons on Humility and Purpose from John the Baptist". In that blogpost, I concluded that you don't have to be in the spotlight in order to be relevant with God because "the big engines that drive an airplane are not in the cockpit". You can be fulfilled doing what God has called you to do, irrespective of the nature of assignment, as long as you stay faithful to your call.
Truly, no one can fulfil his or her purpose without this indispensable virtue of godly humility. Remember, God resist the proud and gives grace, promotion, and ability to the humble! (James 4:5; 1 Peter 5:5b).
Father, thank you for filling me with your love and teaching me the secrets of true and lasting success through your Word, in Jesus' Name. Amen!
