I have always had my reservations about the death penalty. Sis Selma makes a very good point. That said, there are some folks and some situations where I wonder ought this person be allowed another minute? Serial murderers, eaters of flesh, eaters of brains, pedophiles etc. There are some crazy folks out there - wicked and unreasonable. Ought not these unrepentant folks be given the death penalty rather than waste society's money in keeping them in prison?
In the scriptures, how bad was Alexander the coppersmith that even Paul (so full of love) couldn't take it anymore and handed him over to Satan? See 1Tim1:20 and 2Tim4:14
Gov tunde! Alexander the coppersmith. I do not support dealth penalty no matter how grievious the offense might have or may be. God is not interested in the death of the sinner, but that all men be saved and come to repentance(the knowledge of the truth).
I met someone years ago who gave his life to christ while in prison. If he had been sentenced to death, would he be influencing lives today?
