Sis Mame, I have heard Pastor Chris addressing this issue in one of his messages. There, he relates a story about way back as the Ministry was growing where they organized a big crusade, and everything seemed to be on course until the day preceding the crusade when final arrangements were to be made but all the brethren who'd promised to be hands-on suddenly didn't show up!
Pastor says, early on the day of the crusade, they had to hit the streets to go and invite people. They touched every nook and cranny of the cityand most people who agreed to attend were the homeless street people who lived and slept anywhere, the real 'hobos' if you get what I mean. He says among these people were women, some dressed in chopped, tattered trousers and all that you can imagine. To cut a long story short, he says during the service, those hobos accepted the Lord and were filled with the Holy Spirit and started speaking in tongues right there and then - still wearing their tattered hot pants and all!
Pastor says he observed how the Holy Spirit came into grimmy, trouser-clad street women that day, and he came to understand that the it's not about what a person is wearing but about a heart surrendered to Jesus .
bless u sista. This makes two of us. I need 2 drop a few kilos and I will be back on my jeans.
Sista Matsepe, I have listened to that message by Pastor Chris and he said exactly what u have stated. I know that there is nothing wrong with a woman wearing trousers and ministering. I wud only urge the ladies that whilst they put on their nice jeans, decency shud b the order of the day. re ntse re shebile le li body tsa rona hle beautiful, anointed ladies.
@bro B: are u responding 2 sista Martha or to Sista Mame Ha ha ha!!!!
