Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts (Zechariah 4:6).

In 1 Samuel 2:9 the Bible says "…for by strength shall no man prevail." That means no one makes it in life by sheer muscles or human ability. You can’t function by your own human strength, wisdom and intelligence and expect to achieve much. You can only make real impact and achieve incontrovertible success when you function with the ability of the Spirit.

Knowing this, the Apostle Paul declared in 2 Corinthians 3:5 (AMP): "Not that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form personal judgments {or} to claim {or} count anything as coming from us, but our power {and} ability {and} sufficiency are from God." When you function by the ability of the Spirit, you’ll never be at your wit’s end. You’ll never run out of power or the divine might to accomplish whatever task you have ahead of you.

Zerubbabel had a lot to accomplish for the Lord, but knew he couldn’t do the work with his human ability. Therefore, the Lord told the prophet Zechariah to give him the message: "Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit." Now, he wasn’t telling Zerubbabel to just sit back and let the Spirit move him. Rather, he wanted him to function with the ability of the Spirit in accomplishing the work.

This was the secret to the success recorded by the Apostles in the Early Church as they carried out God’s work; they functioned by the power of the Spirit. The Apostle Paul, for one, made copious references to the ability of God’s Spirit in him. In Colossians 1:29, he said, "Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily." He knew there was something energizing him from within: it was the power of the Spirit. No wonder he said, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" (Philippians 4:13).

Recognize the working of the Spirit in you. That consciousness will produce a divine force that’ll propel you to accomplish things supernaturally: at your work, school, home, in your finances, physical body, and in every area of your life. Halleluiah.

Confession

I’m energized for victory and positioned for the transcendent life by the Spirit of God who lives in me! By Him, I labour, striving according to the working of His power that works within me mightily. I’m excelling in every area of my life, because the competence and excellence by which I function is by the Spirit.

The Communion Of The Holy Spirit · Saturday, May 11th ·

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen (2 Corinthians 13:14).

This verse lets us know what we can enjoy from God (the love of God), what we can enjoy from Jesus (the grace of Jesus Christ), and what we can enjoy from the Holy Spirit (the communion of the Holy Spirit). God the Father already proved His love in sending Jesus Christ to die that we may live. The grace of Jesus Christ, on the other hand, has been poured out on us through His death for us. We now enjoy that grace in its fullness (John 1:16-17); there couldn’t be anything better than what He (His grace) already accomplished for us on the cross of Calvary.

However, there’s something that continues: "the communion of the Holy Spirit." This refers to the partnership, communication, or fellowship with the Holy Spirit. It includes talking with the Holy Spirit; yielding to His Lordship and guidance; sharing our thoughts with Him, and receiving His thoughts through the Word.

The kind of relationship we’re to cultivate with the Holy Spirit is one of communion; a sharing together. The Father and the Son are in heaven, but the Holy Spirit lives in us, fostering this extraordinary communion with divinity. He’s the one that makes the presence of the Father and the presence of Jesus real to you such that wherever you are, you experience the divine presence. God doesn’t "go" from you, or "come" to you; you’re in Him, and He’s in you, by the Holy Spirit.

Develop an intimate relationship with Him by communing with Him constantly in prayer, and through meditation on the Word. Consult with Him for answers and direction always. When you face challenges that seem insurmountable, commune with Him, and He’ll show you what to do. No one but He can give you prefect counsel and guidance in life.

Confession

I know that I’ll never walk in darkness, confusion or uncertainty because I’m in fellowship with the Holy Spirit; He’s my light, and the One who teaches me in the way that I should go, guiding me in the path of God’s perfect will! Amen.

For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it (Deuteronomy 32:46-47).

The more you’re acquainted with the Word of God, through study and meditation, the more you realize that the Word is more than a book of instructions. The Word instructs us and guides us, but the Word is more than a guide: it’s your life. Job said, "…I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food" (Job 23:12). Understanding the Word of God would bring you to the same conclusion; like Moses, you’d see that the Word is your life. No wonder Moses knew the ways of God, while the children of Israel were only acquainted with the acts of God; they saw God’s Word as commandments to obey, but to Moses it was life.

The Word of God is the mirror of God that reflects your spiritual image. It reveals God’s opinion and perception of you. What glory and fulfilment you’d experience in your life once your spirit gets a hold of the picture of you that’s revealed in the Word! Realizing that God’s Word was given to you to reflect God’s picture of you will change your perspective on life.

I often say, "I know who I am" because of the picture, perception, and mentality the Word of God has given me. I see myself in God’s mirror—His Word— and act accordingly. See yourself in the mirror of God and act on the Word: think, talk, and live accordingly. Be who the Word says you are! Refuse to be anything else but the picture of you that you see in the Word. Satan, circumstances, and situations may try to sway you otherwise, but you must refuse all contrary opinions! Stick only with the picture of your life that the Word of God has presented to you.

Confession

I am who God says I am: I have what He says I have. I am full of power and might because His ability is at work in me. I declare that I am more than a conqueror, because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.

To Lose Fat Is Affected By the Hormone, Adiponectin

Low levels of adiponectin, a protein hormone, causes difficulty in losing fat and keeping it off. The "fatburner" hormone job is to shrink fat cells, creating energy. This hormone is secreted into the blood stream. Also, adiponectin is an anti-inflammatory which succors your body to lose fat and maintain. The lack of adiponectin causes inflammation which produces an effect of "leptin resistance."

"Leptin resistance" is when a persons "feeling satisfied in between meals becomes more difficult," and trying to lose fat becomes extremely difficult. What is very interesting about this hormone is that it is reproduced in the fat cells. But yet the heavier you are the less adiponectin you are producing. Just two functions of adiponectin are to assists in lowering glucose and increased activity in cells to burn fat for energy helping to lose fat successfully. This "fatburner" hormone is pertinent to diabetes, kidney disease, weight loss, and inflammation.

A low-level of the "fatburner" hormone is connected to a higher risk of kidney disease and diabetes. "A deficiency in adiponectin could be the major reason why obese patients develop the initial signs of kidney disease," quoted by researcher Kumar Sharma.

The Mediterranean Diet increases the level of adiponectin, consisting of vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, grains and fish. Beans are a good fat burning food and, also, omega 3 and 6. Rob Poulos, a fitness author, has written an e-book about fat burning foods that will boost "powerful fat loss hormones" and an exercise to lose fat naturally, that will burn fat for up to 3 days.

Water and fiber are, also, important to lose fat naturally. If you allow your body to become dehydrated your body will malfunction, hindering the function of the body's other functions. Rob Poulos suggests consuming 100 ounces of water daily, the recommended dose by the medical field is 64 ounces daily. Fiber has a filling quality and slows down the process of digestion. Good sources of fiber are fruits, seeds, nuts, vegetables and beans. These foods are rich in nutrients.

There are three actions you can perform to alleviate the lack of adiponectin - consume more magnesium, intermittent fasting (fasting 1 or 2 days a week) and take omega 3 and 6. Adiponectin is only one of five hormones that can cause a person to lose fat effectively.

If you could examine the human body you could observe that every organ of the body is impacting several other organs, it's a tight fit. So, if an organ malfunctions other organs are affected. On the cellular level adiponectin is reproduced in the fat cells. So, if there is a malfunction with adiponectin because of malnutrition, due to bad eating habits, this will have a domino influence in relationship to other cells in the body. We all store fat differently. Some people lose weight faster than others. We are all different. It is our changed lifestyle that will help us succeed in becoming who we want to be, by eating nutritious foods and doing high intense exercises we can have fast weight loss successfully. Do not allow the diet and fitness industry to manipulate your mindset, think long term. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before (Philippians 3:13).

The Book of Acts gives us the detailed story of Saul of Tarsus, who later became known as Paul. Prior to his conversion, he desperately persecuted God’s people. However, one day, on his way to Damascus, in furtherance of his merciless onslaught against the Church, he had an encounter with the Lord and he was converted. Subsequently, he asked the Lord "…what wilt thou have me to do?..." (Acts 9:6).

That day, the Lord changed his destiny and gave him a new focus. The hitherto persecutor of the Church became one of the Lord’s greatest Apostles whom He charged with the responsibility to take the Gospel to the Gentiles, turning them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God (Acts 26:18). With a greater zeal than that with which he previously persecuted the Church, Paul committed His life to preaching the Gospel, refusing to be deterred by his unpleasant past. He realized that "…if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). This was his testimony; this was his victory: To hold forth the Word of life with boldness, irrespective of the past. Our opening verse reveals how he was able to deal with His past; a lesson for us all.

Paul’s testimony shows what the Lord can do in the life of anyone who receives the Word, regardless of their past. The Lord Jesus can transform a man forever, and give him a new destiny; His Word in you will transform your life and recreate your world by the influence of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, like the Apostle Paul, be totally committed to the Lord and His Gospel. Speak the Word with boldness, and refuse to allow anything, including past experiences, daunt your zeal for revealing Christ to your world.

Prayer Dear heavenly Father, you’ve chosen me from the foundation of the world to reveal Christ in me. I fix my gaze on you and your eternal grace, holding forth the Word of life and truth, as I bear fruits unto righteousness to your praise and glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Power of Hope: There is no hopeless situation; there are only hopeless people and ideas that lack genuine information. Hope overrules all impossibilities. Hopelessness have top chart in taking the lives people, most especially the Christians. Even when an ordinary doctor confuses them that it is finished; that is, the case is helpless and there is no hope left, they ignorantly and goatly believed in the report of a demon possessed doctor that is on a dead mission to insert virus of hopelessness on people. And when your mind and mouth are shut down from speaking hope, know that you are already dead, just waiting for a pin to kill.

Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; and when we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.He is despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; he was despised,and we did not esteem him. Surely He has borne our grief,and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. My pastor those days used to say, in every supposing, there are two supposing; and why don’t you believe in supposing it is true. Very simple!

One of the things that destroy hope in this era of unseemly situation and hopeless idea everywhere is wrong association: staying long with people of different level, mentality and faith with you. The worst of it all is staying long with people of unbelief and tongue of, supposing it is not true.

Pastor Chris of Christ Embassy says, the problem is not faith; for faith isn’t mysterious to the child of God. There’s no Christian that lacks faith: according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Rom 12:3.

However, my people are destroyed for lack of KNOWledge (INFORMation)... Hosea 4:6. Because it is only lack of knowledge that will make a Christian to speak against hope and saying, supposing it is not true.

What a deadly disease in a dangerous era, where traps and victims are multiplied everywhere. You need not to see me get angry on any speech or attitude made against my hope. It is a no silence and humility go area for me. Because if you don’t care about my hope, I will also not care giving you a missile at the same time.

Humanity and Christianity are in great pains and need (malnourished) of hope. Be a fan of hope, lest somebody very close to you might become a cheap victim of the activities of the devil.

Devil fears hope; his primary objective and assignment is for you to be hopeless. He is hopeless, a real joker and professional liar.

Life is defined by hope. A full (vibrant)life is a life defined by a full hope (expectation and position to win). When life is empty, dry and common means hope is also empty, dry and common.

I am (vibrant) full of life and hope,that’s why I will be fully raged when I hear otherwise.

When I looked at Ruth – grandmother of David; I studied her and her thought provoking hope; I shout and caught fire.Oh what a hope!

These are the extraction: Hope is steadfastly minded. Hope doesn’t believe in the impossible. Hope doesn’t get tired or distracted. Hope is always noticed and contagious. Hope doesn’t mean in reality but it means in the future and believes in the future. And the future doesn’t have time; it could be now! Hope is not lazy or believes that there is no work for him or her. Hope is always favoured. Hope is not helpless. Hope is productive. Hope is always positive. Hope is always decent and organised. Hope is purpose driven. Hope has good reputation. Hope always brings back positive result. Hope always speaks positive and it is certain. Hope end is always better than the beginning - the book of Ruth.

In conclusion, hope works together with faith - Hebrews 11. Faith is activated by love. Strong hope, strong love with strong faith producing great result desired.

Moreover, true love is impossible without making Jesus the Lord and master over your life. I pray and decree this message of hope will bless you and meet you at your point of your greatest need like Ruth – an icon of hope, in Jesus Name, amen!

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified (Acts 20:32).

The only material given to us to build and grow strong faith is the Word of God. God builds your spirit through His Word. Whenever you spend time to study and meditate on the Word, you’re positioning yourself in God’s building process for your spirit. Every Christian needs to grow; every Christian needs to learn and understand the Word of God, but without studying it, you’ll never know it. You have to hear it, be taught, and then do your personal study of the Word. Even after you’ve been taught; go through the Scriptures and the references for yourself. 2 Timothy 2:15 says, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

It isn’t uncommon to find people who know so much about the world and the way it operates, yet know nothing about the Word of God. That’s terrible, because the most important thing about you is your spirit. Your spirit is your nature; that’s the real you. When everything in this world is over, your spirit will still be conscious because man’s spirit doesn’t die; only his body does. Therefore, how you’ll function in eternity depends on what nature your spirit has, and the relationship you have with the Word of God, because the Word is eternal. "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away," (Matthew 24:35).

It’s important for you to cultivate this special relationship with God’s Word; a relationship beyond assumption—one that you really know and have vital experiences with the Word. Our opening verse says the Word "…is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified." This is why we teach the Word of God daily to millions around the world; it’s so that their minds will be enlightened and their spirits lifted and strengthened in the things of God.

Prayer

Dear Father, how I love your Word; for it’s the food for my spirit, and it’s medicine to my physical body. I’m transformed today and positioned to deal wisely in all my affairs because your Word regulates my thoughts and actions; and as I yield to the lordship of your Word, my profiting appears to all, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday (Psalms 37:6).

To understand righteousness, you must first understand the concept of good and evil, right and wrong. According to the Bible, good and evil, right and wrong can only be judged or decided by the nature of God. This means, to know what’s good or evil, right or wrong, God reveals His nature and will to man. Otherwise, we will never know what to do or what God expects of us.

Righteousness, therefore, is the expression of the will and the nature of the Father. He’s the judge; He decides what’s good or evil, what’s right or wrong, by His very nature. His revelation of Himself, His nature, His character and His will are the collective expression of His righteousness.

Our natural minds can’t comprehend the vastness and immeasurable amplitude of God’s reasoning. If He came to us in His complexity, we wouldn’t be able to understand anything about Him; so He made it simple by sending Jesus to us, who came as a man so we could understand God. He said, "…he that hath seen me hath seen the Father…" (John 14:9) and in John 10:30, He said, "I and my Father are one." He came to express the will and nature of the Father; He’s described for us in Hebrews 1:3 as the express image of the Father. He was, and still is, the perfect imprint and ultimate icon of God; and we’re like Him (1 John 4:17). Our righteousness, therefore, is the expression of the will and nature of the Father.

Romans 5:17 says, "…they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ." Which means we’ve been gifted with the ability, authority and power to articulate, manifest, and express the will and nature of the Father everywhere we go: in every situation, in every event, and in every matter. Hallelujah!

Prayer

My life is for the glory of God, and I manifest His goodness, will and nature, everywhere. I’m the proof of His equity, a trophy of His goodness, and the unveiling of His character, beauty, excellence and grace, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ (1 Peter 2:5).

This verse of scripture is quite profound. It isn’t suggestive; rather, Peter, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, tells us in the affirmative, God’s purpose for our lives: He has built us as a spiritual house, and as a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable to Him through Jesus Christ. This is your purpose; it’s one of the reasons you’re in this world, and if you’re not fulfilling it, you’re living a different dream, not God’s dream.

When you locate this as your purpose, you’d realize that God isn’t just there to answer your prayers or see to it that everything goes all right with you. Of course, He does answer your prayers, and ensures that everything goes all right with you, but that’s not what He’s there for. Your fellowship with Him is more important. If you’d fulfil the true purpose for which He created you, you’d find yourself walking in His divine plan; and within His divine plan, you’re shielded from evil! You won’t have to keep praying to Him to protect you against evil, like those who would always pray, "Oh God, as I go out today, I pray that no evil will befall me." That’s a prayer of spiritual babies.

As you grow spiritually, and function in God’s purpose for your life, you’d find no need for that kind of prayer, because the prayer of Jesus Christ for you, has already been answered. Before He died, He prayed that we be delivered, protected and kept from the evil one (John 17:15). When He arose from death, He was given all authority in heaven and in earth, and then He delivered that authority to us—to rule over Satan, sickness, disease and the cohorts of darkness.

Thus, your life ought to be the daily expression of His praise, thanksgiving, and worship. You’re to keep offering up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ, for bringing you into a life of liberty and dominion: to reign and express His will, character and goodness in the earth.

Prayer Dear heavenly Father, I worship and adore you; blessed be your Name forever, for you’ve enlightened my heart to know and understand your will for my life. Therefore, having located my purpose in you, I walk diligently in your grace for prosperity, divine health, protection, and victory every day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
