Understanding Righteousness!!!

When you received Christ and became born again, you are no more permitted to remain a baby in the things of God. Babies feed on milk instead of solid food. In the same vein, a baby Christian is one who feeds on the milk of God’s Word. He is yet to grasp the understanding of deep Spiritual truths, though he may have been born again for a very long time.

The Bible says concerning such folks: “you have been Christians a long time now, and you ought to be teaching others, but instead you have dropped back to the place where you need someone to teach you all over again the very first principles in God’s Word. You are like babies, who can drink only milk, not old enough for solid food. And when a person is still living on milk it shows he isn’t very long in the Christian life, and doesn’t know much about the difference between right and the wrong. He is still a baby Christian!”(Hebrews 5:12-13 TLB).

An important characteristic of the babe in Christ shows that he is: “unskillful” in the doctrine of righteousness. That means he doesn’t understand righteousness, which is the nature of God that has been imparted into you, which separates you from evil, sin, guilt, condemnation, fear, sickness and poverty.

Without an understanding of righteousness, a Christian can’t live victoriously over the enemy. He will be subject to the elements of the world (Galatians 4:3). This is why you shouldn’t remain in the babyhood stage of Christianity. You must desire to grow in Christ; you have got to get off milk and grow. How? By learning and putting God’s Word to work in your life. That is how to grow spiritually and be a mature man in Christ. Then you will walk in the consciousness of your righteousness in Christ, and the perfection and rightness of God will be manifested through you.

It's time to arise and shine!

Arise [from the depression in which circumstances have kept you – rise to a new life!] Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you! (Isaiah 60:1 Amp).

Jesus is the light, so arise, get up, wake up, because your light has come! Don’t look down anymore. If you do, all you’ll see are the problems and challenges you’re going through. Rather, look up to the light.

The Apostle Paul, while preaching in Lystria, said to a man impotent in his feet, “Arise!” and the man leaped and walked (Acts 14:8-10). An angel walked into the prison where the Apostle Peter was and immediately, the chains he was bound with fell; the angel didn’t have to break the chains nor did he have to open the door; it opened of its own accord (Acts 12:7-10). The Spirit says to you today that the chains that have kept you down were broken a long time ago; you’re out of bondage. Hallelujah!

The month of Lights is not time to let your problems weigh you down; rather, keep your gaze on the Lord Jesus; He’s the glory of the light of God’s Word. His Word is still the same to you today. Yes, your finances, business, or health may be at a low point now, but thank God there’s hope for you, because “Jesus Christ (is) the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever more” (Hebrews 13:8).

You’ve been creeping too long; you’ve been crawling too long. It’s time to arise and shine, for your light is come! Believe in your abilities; believe in who you are in Christ Jesus. If you were born poor, or weak, or sick, the light has come. So get up! No matter what you thought you were, the light has come, the bands are broken, and the chains are broken.

As I prayed tonight, in line with Pastor's post for today on Yookos,

A month of increased glory! Blessed be the Lord; for the Word says: "And we, with unveiled faces, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image with ever- increasing glory, by the Spirit of the Lord" (2Co 3:18).
At 12noon and 10pm (Local) we'll pray fervidly in the spirit for all 15min. We'll worship the Lord and receive from the Holy Spirit that which He ministers to our spirits and share His encouraging words. God bless you as you enjoy a beautiful October.

He wants us to keep all eyes on Him, do not look at anything that may be surrounding you... only SEE HIM. As you do so, you will behold and experience His ever increasing glory. Do not let anything or anyone shake you. This is your set time for increasing glory, and people may try to touch you but as you keep your eyes and heart set on Him, your glory will increase and you will be set too high for them to do anything to you. One of the hallmarks of a spiritual Christian is that he is a doer of the Word of God. He lives by the Word, by putting the Word of God to work in his life. As we come to the end of a glorious month of Spiritual Consciousness, I want to show you how to establish your victories and activate the power of the Spirit for a continuous experience of the miraculous:

“And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s” (2 Chronicles 20:1 5).With those words of prophecy burning in his spirit, King Jehoshaphat consulted with the people and appointed singers unto the Lord, to march ahead of the troops, singing, “… Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever” (2 Chronicles 20:21). As they sang and praised God, the power of God was activated, and their enemies were discomfited! They praised their way in victory! The fervency and vibrancy of their praise caused the angels of God to go into action and cause pandemonium in the enemy’s camp!The enemy soldiers turned their swords on each other, killing one another. By the time God’s people got to the scene the enemies were all dead! (2 Chronicles 20:22-24).

You discomfit the enemy and activate the power of God when you praise God from your spirit fervently and passionately, irrespective and independent of circumstances! Paul and Silas experienced this when they were imprisoned for doing the Lord’s will. Rather than gripe, complain or despair, they praised their way in victory. They stirred the power of God’s Spirit through praise and they were gloriously delivered (Acts 1 6:25-26).

I urge you to put this to work in your life today as you praise Him for a glorious month of Spiritual Consciousness! Praise your way in victory, irrespective of the seemingly hopeless situation you may be faced with right now. The Bible says ‘in everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). As you offer words of praise to the Lord from your spirit and extol His majesty for a glorious month, irrespective of the adversity, you’re establishing your victory. So, take advantage of this platform to share testimonies and accounts of spiritual experiences in your life this month of Spiritual consciousness. In spite of that challenge or difficult situation, as you shout His praise your victory will be undenied. Hallelujah!

And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever (Genesis 13:14-15).

When God told Abraham to “lift up his eyes and look,” He wasn’t referring to his physical eyes, but to the eyes of his spirit. He wanted the man to look into the realm of the spirit and see the realities of God’s Kingdom. That’s the realm where seeming impossible situations in this earthly realm become possible. However, the only way to see into this realm is through prayer and study of the Word.

The Word of God is “Light” (1 John 1 :7); when you start walking in the light of God’s Word, the realm of the spirit will come alive to you, and you’ll start functioning from that realm, just like your heavenly Father. I remember the story of a certain woman and her six year-old daughter, who both had polio and were brought to a healing meeting with a certain minister. After a session of prayers for the sick, the six year-old girl got healed immediately, but her mother wasn’t and wished she had been healed like her daughter.

About four years later, after listening to some tapes by the same minister on healing, she got healed! How? As she listened to the Word of God, she was able to see into the realm of the spirit and saw that there was no sickness or diseases in her body! Soon as she got a hold of that picture, nothing could stop her healing from manifesting in the physical. That’s living from inside out! You need to see that miracle you desire first by the eyes of your spirit.

You can live free of sickness, poverty, failure, and suffering if you’d only turn the light of God’s Word on your life. That way, you’ll see the real you, and the realities of the glorious, prosperous and successful life God has called you to. Hallelujah!

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together (Romans 8.16-17).

If you’re born again, you have an inheritance and it was bequeathed to you by the Monarch of the universe— the one who said “The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts”(Haggai 2:8). All the wealth in this world actually belong to Him: the money, precious stones, minerals, oil and everything that men believe they own all belong to the Lord and you’re His heir. You’re the heir of the sovereign-mega-rich God. He is the fountain of riches. His wealth is limitless, inestimable and unquantifiable. That makes you richer than those on the Forbes’ list! Hallelujah!

Your ‘Papa’s’ wealth isn’t subject to the market forces of this world; it isn’t subject to the oil prices or the stability of the world’s currencies. That’s why it’s an insult to God for His kids to be broke or live beggarly lives. What you must learn to do is tap into this limitless wealth by faith through your confessions. Begin to voice out your faith; declare everyday that you’re rich and blessed beyond measure.

Meditate on this reality and let the consciousness of your inheritance in God fill your spirit. Get rid of the poverty-talk. Your heavenly Father has bequeathed His enormous wealth to you, and unlike the wills made by men on behalf of their beneficiaries, He isn’t dead—He’s alive and will see to it that nothing deprives you of your inheritance. Praise the Lord!

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears my word and believes him who sent me, has eternal life; he does not come into judgement, but has passed from death to life (John 5:24 RST).

There are two spiritual realms of life and death existing side by side and everyone is in either one of them. Everyone who is born into this world is born into the realm of death (separation from God) and in that realm, there is sickness, sin, poverty and every kind of evil. Then, there is a realm of life, where God operates and in this realm, everything is good.

The Bible says God “hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son” (Colossians 1:1 3). The word “translated” also means “transferred.” When you were born again, you were transferred instantly from the realm of death into the realm of life and that’s where you live now.

In the opening Scripture, Jesus said “He who hears my word and believes him who sent me, has eternal life; he does not come into judgement, but has passed from death to life”, He didn’t say, “He shall pass from death to life”. John said the same thing: “We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren” (1 John 3:14).

As long as you’re born again, you’re not about to be transferred to the realm of life, you’re there already. You may look the same physically as the man who is not saved, but you’re functioning in a different realm. When you realize that you’ve passed from death to life, when this truth becomes your consciousness, life will take on a new meaning. In the realm of life, there is no sickness, no death, no poverty and any such evil thing. Rather, there’s prosperity, life and peace! Everything that you lay your hands upon prospers, and you’re a victor every day. Take time out today to meditate on this reality and drive it deep into your spirit till every action you take is with the consciousness that you now live in the realm of life where sickness, failure, poverty and mediocrity have no place. Hallelujah!

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you (Romans 8:11).

The Holy Spirit is the life-giver. With the Holy Spirit living in you, no sickness ought to stay in your body. Every cancer ought to die! Diabetes and HIV will be cleansed from your blood when you meditate on the truth that the Spirit of God, the life-giver Himself lives in you. In the Old Testament, God said to the people, “the life of the flesh is in the blood…” (Leviticus 17:11). All living creatures, including man are sustained by the blood flowing in their bodies. But this is different for the man who is born again and filled with the Holy Spirit! The Holy Spirit gives life to –quickens – your physical body if He lives in you.

Even if your body had been paralyzed, the Holy Spirit will give life to your physical body and restore you to perfect health! The Bible says if Christ be in you, though the body be dead because of sin; broken by sickness and disease, the Spirit gives it life because of righteousness (Romans 8:10). In Acts 14:8-10, the Apostle Paul didn’t have to pray for the crippled man at the city gate. All he did was to preach the Gospel and unveil the power of righteousness, and the Spirit vitalized the man’s body. If you’re born again and have received the Holy Spirit, you don’t really need prayer to be healed of any infirmity. You can simply walk out of that sickness or predicament you may have found yourself in. The consciousness of the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit is what you need!

Being conscious that the Greater One lives in you, and that you no longer live by blood, but by the power of the Spirit that raised Christ from the dead, is what you need! That power is at work in you even now, to revive, resuscitate and vitalize your physical body and produce life in every area where you may have hitherto experienced dryness, barrenness, stagnation or death. Get ready to share your testimonies of mighty miracles this month of Spiritual Consciousness. Hallelujah!

And he said unto them, ye are from beneath; l am from above: ye are of this world; l am not of this world (John 8:23).

When Jesus told the Jews, “You’re from beneath and I’m from above,” He certainly wasn’t referring to His physical origin but His spiritual origin. He is the Word of God that came from heaven (John 1:1; John 6:33).

Now, if you’re born again, you’re born, not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible seed, which is the Word of God that lives and abides forever (1 Peter 1:23). This means you’re born of the Word that came from above and you have the same life from above as Jesus. Thus you can as well declare that you’re from above. This consciousness of your divine origin will change your attitude and the way you live. That’s because when you recognize you’re not of this world, you won’t think, talk, or act Iike the world.

Imagine that you go to work with this consciousness that you’re from above and someone in the office offends you. Everybody expects you to get mad, but you don’t, and while they’re wondering at you, you simply let them know you can’t condescend to such behaviour, because you’re from above.

Or perhaps, everyone in your neighbourhood is catching the flu, but you declare, “No, not me. I’m from above, and we don’t catch the flu where I’m from!” This is how to train yourself in the consciousness of the life you’ve received. Jesus talked like this all the time, and you must do the same. Remember, He also said concerning you that you’re not of the world, even as He is not of the world (John 17:16).

Be conscious of this truth twenty-four hours every day. The more you walk in this consciousness, the greater and more outstanding your results. You will be distinguished by the supernatural and those around you will know of a truth that you’re from above. Praise the Lord!

Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; there shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling (Psalm 91:9-10).

When the children of Israel were getting ready to leave Egypt, the Lord told Moses to instruct them to mark the door posts with blood (Exodus 12). The death angel was passing through Egypt that night and the Lord said, “There shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more. But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel” (Exodus 11:6-7).

The Lord sanctified—separated the Israelites from the evil that befell the land of Egypt. In the same way, the moment you were born again, you were sanctified from evil and separated unto the Kingdom of God. The Bible says, “it is God who has delivered us out of the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us into the Kingdom of His dearly-loved Son” (Colossians 1:13 WNT). You were transferred from the domain of satan, who is the author of evil into the kingdom of God’s dear son!

In other words, you’ve been completely separated, detached, disconnected, removed and unplugged from evil! You’ve been marked” with the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ unto the life of glory, victory and success. You’re not subject to the evil that the people of the world suffer. You dwell in the secret place of the most High God (Psalm 91:1). No wonder the Bible says “A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked” (Psalm 91:7-8).

You’ve been separated from the evil and peril in the world; therefore when you set out each day, be conscious of this truth. Say to yourself, “I’m sanctified from evil. There’re no mishaps or destruction on my path. In my path is life, peace, victory and prosperity. As I go out today, the land is subdued before me, and I dwell in safety.” Hallelujah!

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever: Amen (2 Timothy 4:18).

If you’re born again you belong in a spiritual Kingdom; the Kingdom of God’s dear Son: ‘Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son’ (Colossians 1:13). You became a part of this spiritual Kingdom the moment you gave your heart to Christ.

The spiritual controls the physical. So as a Christian you can’t afford to live by the principles of this physical world. You can’t achieve meaningful success with the principles of this world, for success is spiritual. True success has nothing to do with your education, family name, or what nation you hail from. True and lasting success is spiritual and it’s based on spiritual principles. This is the reason it’s important for you to be trained in the life of the spirit so you can live and control things from that realm. When you learn to consciously function from the realm of the spirit, nothing in this physical world will be able to stop you because the Kingdom to which you belong is greater than this world.

Some people go through unnecessary troubles in their lives because they’re ignorant of this important principle. If you need a job for example, the first thing to do isn’t to distribute your resume around, in the hope that you’ll be called up for a job interview. You have to ensure you receive that job first in the realm of the spirit. That way, nothing in this physical world will be able to stop it.

In our spiritual Kingdom, we see the unseen. We see the blessings on the inside first, and then take a hold of them with our spirits. We take our eyes away from all the limitations of this physical realm and focus only on the infallible Word of God. Hebrews 11:3 says “It is by faith that we understand that the universe was created by God’s word, so that what can be seen was made out of what cannot be seen” (GNB).

If you’re born again, it means you’re born from the realm of the Spirit; you are born of God and of His Word. You belong in God’s spiritual Kingdom, so learn to function by the spiritual principles of the Kingdom to which you belong; and it starts by being conscious of that kingdom. Praise the Lord!

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us (Romans 5.5).

The highest revelation of Christianity is Christ in you, living out His love in you. That’s because love is the highest and topmost quality of God’s character, so much so, that the Bible says, “…God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him” (1 John 4:16). As a Christian, for your life to be an outshining of God’s great love—His unconditional and self-giving love, you’ve got to become conscious of that love functioning in you! Meditate on it till it dawns on your spirit that you are a testimony of the Father’s great love in the world today.

“But God’s love is too high; how can one ever attain to such high level of love?” you might ask! Well, Jesus already prayed in John 17:26: “And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and l in them.” Sometimes I read this verse and cry because it’s just too much. Jesus asked that our heavenly Father’s love may be in us. We know God heard His prayer because in Romans 5:5, Paul tells us that the same love Jesus prayed about has now been shed in abundance in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.

So, you don’t need to try to attain to God’s level of love, for His love is already in you. Become conscious of this today and let it drive you into action for the Kingdom. The Bible says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). God’s love for the world drove Him to give His very best for the salvation of others.

This also should be your testimony, the Father’s love in you should compel you to give your all to the Lord and dedicate yourself to the expansion of His Kingdom. It should motivate you to preach and give big-time for the propagation of the Gospel! The Father’s love in you should compel you to lay your all down for the Lord and live unto Him: “For the love of Christ constraineth us because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again” (2 Corinthians 5:1 4-1 5). This ought to be your consciousness as the love child of a love God. Praise the Lord!

Thought For Today: Being Conscious That You Are Up To The Task ~www.christembassy.org/blog/christianliving/

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God (2 Corinthians 3:5).

The Word “sufficiency” in the scripture above also means “competence.” It is translated from the Greek word “hikanotes” which means to have competence or ability. It refers to the quality of being adequately or well qualified physically, intellectually and in other areas, for the purpose of carrying out a task. Put simply, it means to be up to the task. So when the Apostle Paul, by the Spirit, said “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God” (2 Corinthians 3:5), he was saying “you’re up to the task; any task!”

That means no matter the task or assignment committed to you, see yourself as the right man or woman for the job! If you would develop this consciousness, it’ll set you apart for greatness and success, be it in your work, at school, or in your business. Prior to this time, you may have been described as that seemingly incompetent person—the guy who always messes things up, but God is saying to you today, “Son, daughter, see yourself differently. Have a new consciousness, the consciousness that you’re up to the task! You have super-competence, for your sufficiency is of me!” Hallelujah!

As a child of God, you’re competent enough to face whatever challenges come your way and produce excellence. You’re up to that task in the office! Refuse to believe those who consider you not good enough for the job; tell yourself, “I am up to the task.” Remember your “competence” is not described by your own physical or mental prowess, but according to the supernatural ability of God working in you. This was what gave the Apostle Paul the “I-can-do-mentality” (Philippians 4:13)!

Like Paul, be conscious today that God is at work in you, and that you function with His ability. Never act as though you’re not qualified for any task, even if it’s a new assignment on your job. Remember that as a child of God, the Holy Spirit is your sufficiency; He has made you competent—you’re up to any task. Let this be your consciousness today. Hallelujah!

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

There’re Christians who are more conscious of what they think they don’t have, than they are of the provisions of the gospel that reveal our limitless wealth in Christ (Ephesians 3:8). David declared in Psalm 23:1, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures…” He was supply-conscious, and that’s the kind of mindset you ought to have.

The man who is “lack-conscious” is the one who says “I would have done such-and-such, but I don’t have enough money”; he measures himself by how much he has in the bank. On the other hand, the man who is “supply-conscious” measures himself from the perspective of God’s Word! He’s conscious of the fact that all his needs (not some) are abundantly supplied according to God’s riches in glory by Christ Jesus, not according to how much he has in his bank account (Philippians 4:19). When he has a project to execute, he knows he can do it once he sets his mind on it, for God is His source.

This is the consciousness you ought to have as a child of God. Never be conscious of what you think you lack; notice I used the word “think” because all things are actually yours: “Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours” (1 Corinthians 3:21). Train yourself through the Word to be “supply-conscious.” That’s how Jesus functioned when He walked the earth! He had no sense of lack; He knew that whatever He required was available to Him, even if He had to create it!

The next time you require something and it appears it isn’t available to you, think of the fact that all things are yours, and call forth what you need! Remember, you’re blessed; you’re favoured; you’re abundantly supplied; let this be your consciousness always. Praise the Lord!
