Improve your Spiritual Vocabulary!!

“I thank my God; I speak with tongues more than ye all”. (1 Corinthians 14:18).

The apostle Paul had the boldness to assert in his letter to the Corinthian Church, “I speak with tongues more than you all”. He must have observed something about them that made him arrive at this conclusion.

Many of God’s Children need to exercise their spiritual vocabulary by speaking in tongues more often. This is very important because if neglected, a Christian will continue speaking the same tongues year after year which isn't adequate for living victoriously here on earth. If you’re this way, you’ll find that after speaking in tongues for a few minutes, it sort of ‘dries up’ and you don’t pray for long. This is why you have to receive new tongues from time to time, thus getting better at speaking the heavenly language.

Many times as you listen to the Word, in Church or even at home, you hear something that causes words to bubble up within you. Don’t suppress that spiritual excitement; go ahead and let the words flow from within you! Also, as you release yourself in worship, you’ll often feel a stirring in your spirit. Release your spirit to the flow of words from your spirit and you’ll find new tongues welling up from within you. The more you do these things, the more you receive new tongues and the more you get yourself uttering mysteries and giving instructions to angels!

Expect A Miracle when You Pray!

In our day, we cannot overemphasize the need and importance of miracles. It is the calling of every Christian to live in the realm of the supernatural. Miracles are the acts of God; He demonstrates His love and closeness to us through the supernatural manifestations in our lives.

How do you explain that you pray to a God you do not see? Praying and expecting an answer reveals a desire for the miraculous. It shows the depth of a man’s desire to communicate with the supernatural. Every answered prayer is a miracle, irrespective of what is prayed about. Often times, God demonstrates His sovereignty by performing a miracle for you when you are not expecting it or when you think you don’t deserve it; He shows up on your behalf in His love for you.

People pray everywhere irrespective of their religions and expect an answer because it is wrong to pray without expecting an answer. Your expectation of an answer is faith; when He answers, there is a miracle! Expect God to answer your prayers today. There is a miracle for you right where you are; receive it. Receive that healing in your body; receive that divine intervention you need in your business, family and in your ministry, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Start issuing Commands!!

There comes a time when you have to take things by force. You have to stand on your healing by force. You have to stand on God’s Word by force, especially when things around you want to make it look like the Word does not work. You must command yourself to walk in the knowledge of God’s Word. I force my body to pray. I force my mind to study God’s Word. I see God’s Word for me as the final authority. When you recognise God’s Word as a commission and a command, and you stay on the Word, and pray without ceasing, then you can be in control.

Your commands should be issued when you pray and speak God’s Word, not issued to other people around. Never forget this: when you command, give your commands to the devil and the circumstances you want changed. Don’t even wait till the devil tries to mess things up; start issuing your commands now! Command in the power of the Spirit. Declare that by the stripes of Jesus you were healed. Declare that with you nothing shall be impossible because you are a believer. Declare that you can do all things through Christ that strengthens you. Declare that greater is He that is in you, than He that is in the world.

Declare God’s Word abundantly. As you do, you are issuing commands, and you’ll command instant respect in heaven, on earth and in hell.

Note: When God wants to do something BIG in your life, He gets you praying. Keep praying effectively - God bless you.

Proclaim The Word With Boldness

When it comes to making your faith proclamations, you don’t have to be apologetic; be bold! When you boldly proclaim what you already believe in your heart, it strengthens your spirit, and causes the Word to be active in your life. With your mouth you change your estate. The first is a foundation, which makes the second a reality, but your condition will be same if you don’t voice your believing.

Believing what God says and confessing the same will change your life. This is because there’s power in the Word, which gives the ability to change hopeless situations and cause circumstances to conform with God’s plans and purposes when applied.

God created the world by His spoken Word. He said “Let there be…” (Genesis 1:3, 6, 14), and everything He commanded came to be. Jesus taught the same principle in Mark 11:23 “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”

Is there any challenging situation you might be facing today? Proclaim the Word boldly in faith, and there’ll be a change. What you say is what you get, so proclaim the Word and create the realities you want to see in your life.

Being Sensitive To The Spirit!

There are gifts of the Spirit you would have observed in your life over a period time. Don’t neglect them; rather fan them into flames for they are extremely important.

There are certain things you may do or say that stir up the anointing of God in you. Mark them. It’s important that you identify them because if you don’t, you may lose them. The story of Samson is a good example. He observed that when he shook himself in a particular way, the Spirit of God would come mightily upon him. We don’t know how he did it but it definitely worked for him.

What do you do that the Spirit responds to? There are things you do; irrespective of where you are, that stirs up the anointing of God in you. It doesn't have to be the same for everyone. For some, it could be a song; the moment they sing a particular song they get stirred. For others, it could be speaking in tongues. For some others, it happens when they fast. Sometimes it may seem insignificant, but it’s important that you are sensitive enough to note it and take advantage of it.

The Lord Jesus, in Luke 18:1-8 enjoins us through a parable the need to persevere and be importunate in prayer. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 instructs to "Pray without ceasing." That’s because through prayer our spirits are conditioned to become dependable receptacles of God’s ideas, visions and promptings. You may want to ask "How about if you feel reluctant to pray, does it mean one is spiritually weak?"

What you need understand is that such a feeling doesn't necessarily mean you’re weak, but it does signify a problem you have to deal with. Prayer is your life’s work, and you must do it. This means irrespective of how you feel, you must maintain discipline in prayer, and that’s how to prevail over circumstances and develop a consistent and exciting prayer life.
