Thought For Today: How To Gain Time.

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom (Psalm 90:12).

At the May Global Communion Service, the Lord showed us that one of the ways to advance in this month is to “Gain Time”. Time is an asset that’s not in abundant supply which you must learn to invest wisely. Everyone, no matter how great or small has been given the same number of hours each day, but what you do with yours is what’s important. Moses had this on his mind when he prayed to the Lord to “Teach us to number our days.” That’s another way of saying, “Teach us to use our time wisely.”

To advance this month, you must see each day as an opportunity to accomplish so much, but the question is: do you schedule your day? When you wake up in the morning, don’t just roll off your bed and stumble blindly into the day. Schedule your tasks for the day and stay focused. Trust the Holy Spirit to guide you into prioritizing your daily activities. Ask Him to help you gain time, and you’d discover how much you’re able to accomplish for the Kingdom on a daily basis this month. Then, your life will become productive, effective and you’ll advance as He had declared concerning you this month.

At the start of your day, spend quality time to fellowship with the Holy Spirit in prayer and in the Word. Ask Him to guide you as you schedule your activities for the day. Write out everything you have to do and allot time to them, giving priority to those tasks that are most important in achieving your goals. Throughout the day, keep track of your time; don’t get distracted from the things you’ve purposed to do. This is how to gain time and achieve great results everyday. At the end of the day, review that day’s accomplishments and give God praise. I guarantee you that if you live this way, you’ll always be ahead.

Remember that life’s got no extra time, so make every day count by doing only those things that’ll improve your life, and advance the Kingdom of God. God bless you.

iTestify: MONTH OF ADVANCEMENT!! After praying fervently in the spirit, dethroning the enemy and enthroning Jesus Christ in the hearts of men on my campus university, declaring the Lordship of Jesus Christ over my campus. I stepped out to make some dinner and whilst cooking I was led by the Holy Spirit to pray for my housemate who was also in the kitchen about her exams because she was stressed out and with a migraine.

Before I went to South Africa, I asked if she wanted to become born again, she refused saying she wasn't sure. But today, after a mighty session of making power available by speaking in tongues, she became born again and received the Holy Spirit in the kitchen! Hahahaa!! She was eager to join my prayer meetings and BLW Campus fellowship meetings! Glory to God!

Just because you prayed, you thought everything would suddenly change…

Just because you declared the word once, twice, or even thrice…

Just because you spent a day in fasting and prayer, you walked out the door expecting everything to turn out differently.

And just because it didn’t happen the way you said it would when you said it would, you got discouraged!

Just because the storms got fiercer, the waves soared, the skies darkened after you prayed…

You cried and said praying was of no use…

Just because…

I’ve been there, you probably have too.

Everything was ‘peaceful’ till you started to pray.

Nothing extreme seemed to be happening, till you got serious about declaring the word.

And then, it seemed the burden got heavier, the tunnel got darker, like the night got darkest…

Just when you prayed, your child seemed to sink deeper into crack…

Just when you prayed, the creditors called you up to let you know they were going to mess up your peaceful world… They would make you sorry!

Just when you prayed, you looked at the empty seats and wondered where the souls you saw (while you prayed) would be attending your church services that day went to…

Just when you prayed!

Just when you prayed, the pain seemed to get all the more unbearable; you wondered if the cancer was actually leaving your body…

Just when you prayed, you stood and watched another clump of hair, weakened by chemotherapy, fall in the bathtub…

Just when you prayed!

Just when you prayed, your husband seemed to sink deeper into sin, he wasn’t even coming home like he was before you prayed…

Just when you prayed!

Just when you prayed the SMS came in; your grades weren’t good, your student loan was due, your rent was due…

You hadn’t noticed all this as intensely as you did, just when you prayed…

It reminds me of something I read up once.

’Let us go over unto the other side…”

The Master had spoken; excited they set sail, expecting to get to the other side without much ado.

And as they went, ‘waves poured into the boat, threatening to sink it’ (Mark 4:37 The Message)

Huh? Hadn’t the Master spoken?

They panicked. Didn’t he care that they were going down? He just lay down there, sleeping!

They asked what you may be asking now, ‘…Is it nothing to you that I am facing all this? Do you really care Lord?’

‘Does this pain matter to you? I’ve been through so many rounds of chemo…’

‘All these bills Lord; I’m so behind on my mortgage… I don’t even sleep at night anymore’

‘Abandoned with three young kids, does it even matter to you Lord?’

‘I know you called me, but I’m not seeing the results I expect in ministry. Does it even matter to you Lord? I can’t take one more Sunday with empty pews…’

Just when I thought things were going to get better, they seem to be getting worse…

I can barely sit still as I see how He responded…

‘He told the wind to pipe down and said to the sea, “Quiet! Settle down!” The wind ran out of breath; the sea became smooth as glass…’ (Mark 4:40 The Message)

The wind ran out of breath, the sea became smooth as glass…. Wow!!!! I mean W.O.W!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, the winds you are seeing are nothing! Something DID happen when you prayed.

Just smile and tell the wind, ‘Quiet! Settle down!’

Hear me clearly, it is IMPOSSIBLE for God to lie!

If He said, things change when we pray, that’s all the assurance you need.

I’ve got news for you; “your marriage is not over, your husband is coming to his senses, he is coming home!”

“That cancer won’t kill you; people are going to come to you from the ends of the earth to ask you how you got healed!”

“You are going to graduate; NO the loans won’t overwhelm you, no, you won’t drop out, no your dreams to graduate from college won’t go unfulfilled!”

In whatever you are facing today, the wind is going to run out of breath, you will see…!

Don’t cower in fear when you see the waves, just start dancing, they show you that you are actually heading somewhere…

Your prayers are working…

Let me remind you today, just because you prayed, something actually happened!

My Month of Testimony!!!!

Wow it's indeed my month of testimony. I had an assignment deadline on Friday 20th of April. Yes it was the morning after the event I was getting ready for i.e. TOTAL EXPERIENCE (the event was too much btw, don't get me started; it was indeed a total experience and testimonies will be posted soon). Anyways, I was writing up this assignment while I was preparing for Total Experience and I didn't sleep for 3 nights and I was fasting for 2days (straight i.e no breaking) till the event. I was so tired but the Holy Spirit was my Standby as always. I was discouraged by my course mates on going to the event (can you imagine) but I just laughed at their ignorance even it was thoughtful and out of love. My course-mates genuinely wanted me yo do wellin the assignment and finish on time as the lecturer is really strict and is hated by many of my coursemates. I ended up not finishing the work for the time of the deadline and that was the biggest fears my mates had for me. My mates started saying things like "I'm sorry but you shouldn't have gone for that event" but I rejected those thoughts and continued the work (that was already late. It seemed crazy but I wanted to finish my work before I handed in irrespective of the fears of what could happen the work (like it being capped at 50%). I eventually submitted at 2pm instead of the the deadline which was at 8.45am. I was told by the school office I had to fill in a late form (this was when it was getting serious). Then I received an email saying....

"The work that you submitted in respect of this assignment was received in the school office on 19/04/2013, which was after the deadline, but within the permitted two weeks. In accordance with University regulations, the work will be marked and capped at the pass mark (40% for undergraduate and 50% for postgraduate) or the actual fail mark recorded if appropriate."

Different negative thoughts were jumping in but I knew its MY month of TESTIMONIES and I ignored the email. I was told that the only person that could change this was my lecture (note this guy is the most principled and strict lecturer that me and my coursemates know), but I refused to recognise the negativity although it was serious. I went home and as I woke this morning I saw an email from the lecturer replying an email sent to him the school office as he said

" I know Olaitan to be a good student and if he has had difficulties in being able to submit his work on time, then his reasons will be genuine. To a lot of paperwork to prove that his reasons are genuine, I am happy to accept his assignment and to mark it without any penalty."

Wow I jumped out of my bed in excitement and thanksgiving to God. I was gobsmacked the words of my supposedly "strict" lecturer. My coursemates were also shocked and took back their words about me going to the event lol. This is my testimony and I believe you'll get yours soon. The bottom line of why I'm sharing is to tell you that "there's no way you can be disadvantaged in any way your always about Gods business." (Matthew 6:33)

THE WORD SEED

...the seed is the word of God (Luke 8:11)

We speak the Word sometimes and it looks like nothing has happened. People look at us and they don’t even know anything has changed about our status.

Like you, maybe you’ve been speaking the Word over your life for days, weeks or even months and it looks like nothing has happened.

What if a pregnant woman in her 34th week woke up one day and said, “What’s with this seed I received???? I thought I was pregnant, but where is the baby?! IT’S BEEN 34 WEEKS!!!!!”

Do you see where I am going?

You don’t see the baby yet, but sure enough it’s there…

You don’t see the money, the job, the notification (or whatever it is you are expecting) yet… but it’s there… it’s there… it’s there…

Like the expectant mother, keep nurturing it…

A pregnant woman isn’t found everywhere… she

doesn’t eat just anything; some foods can harm her baby, some environments can make her baby come out differently…

And so for all of those 40 weeks till she holds the

baby in her hands she eats right, she drinks right, she takes the right pills. She doesn’t see the baby yet BUT she knows something has been planted and is growing so she MUST nurture it.

You’ve planted the Word; in that right atmosphere you declared you weren’t barren, you called yourself a mother of many…

In the secret place where He spoke to you, you knew

you were going to get married to the right man. You knew God was bringing the man He had for you your way…

In that right atmosphere you called all your bills paid, you took hold of the grace that made you rich… You knew that you knew that you knew that you were rich!

In that right environment, you knew that the work of your hands would prosper.

Now just because you don’t see anything physically you want to stop?

And just because you’ve faced a few challenges and

rough times you think the Word doesn’t work.

How dare you?

How dare you give up on you?

How dare you give up so easily on the greatness in you?!

The seed is the word of God….

Wake up! Let the giant in you arise! Make up your mind you are going to birth that baby, make up your mind you are going to birth that dream, make up your mind your money is going to bless lives!

No, you are not going to end up defeated, you are going to nurture the Word you’ve spoken till you see your desires granted. You are not going to stop halfway; same way a pregnant woman is tenacious through any unpleasant experiences she encounters, you are going to hold on to the Word till you give birth!

Don’t feel discouraged, you know what others don’t. They may still call you, ‘that broke guy…’

They may still call you up to say, “whenever are you going to get married?”

They may still call you up and harass you and nastily

tell your husband, “why did you get married to a ‘man’ who can’t even carry a child for us?’

Now’s not the time to cry.

Get out of that environment, the poisonous smoke they emit will harm your baby.

Stop the pity party, it may make the gestation period longer than you need it to be.

Stop looking around you and saying, ‘it’s not

working.’ You really shouldn’t be eating that stuff.

Keep your gaze on the Word of God; stick with what He says about you.

Then get excited about what you carry!!!!

Whoever you are reading this today, get excited about you!!!!

Your future is bright because you have Him.

Trust me, trust God when the story is told you will

come out on top; you will be the one with the last laugh…

Remember, He ALWAYS – Not sometimes, not fifty-

fifty, not only if you are in a particular continent – No, He ALWAYS causes us to triumph and spreads everywhere through us, the fragrance of the knowledge of Him… (2 Corinthians 2:14)

That’s how this particular test is going to end, so get excited about your life today and speak the Word…!

CRC 2013 - The Testimonies Have Started - ZONE J!!!

CRC has changed my life, the life of members and the life of my fellowship! Thank you so much Deacon Jude and Sis Ify for saying yes to God and accepting this responsibility and doing it so extraordinarily well.

The testimonies have already started! During our zonal prayers, we exchanged visions and ideas and prophesied and declared that this is just the beginning and that the changed from CRC is permanent. Last night, the Holy Spirit instructed me to walk around my campus and possess the land that has been given to me and I followed the instruction and I had seeing sessions as the Holy Spirit revealed things to me like never before. By the leading of the Spirit, I decided to start waking up at 6am every morning so that I can spend quality time with God before I kick-off the day and indeed my day kicked off to a brilliant start. I spent time worshipping and fellowshipping with the Spirit. As soon as I left my room determined to be a soul winner, I bumped into a girl and I nearly walked past her but I walked back and I am so glad I did. As she was on the phone, I gave her my number and when I left her, I declared that she will come to my meeting tonight. I also sent a text to a friend that I had been trying to invite for a while and he gave his consent that he will be at the meeting and I declared that indeed he will be there.

At 5:30pm Rubie (the young lady I met in the morning) sent me a text asking me where my meeting would be taking place. I can’t explain the joy and excitement I felt so I replied her with excitement. I got to my meeting early and spent time praying with my leaders and my choir. My meeting was different today! God is too good! I have a confidence that he hears me every time I pray! Since the CRC meeting I declared that I will only function BY HIS SPIRIT! He even directed me on the songs he wanted for praise and worship whilst I was planning…He was so specific. As I planned the meeting according to the guideline given, I was so blessed as I studied the Word and the book Seven Things the Holy Spirit will do for you. It was so beautiful!

As I ministered I knew I was ministering under the anointing of the Holy Ghost as His presence was so strong. Towards the end I asked my members who would like to receive the Holy Ghost and three young women stepped forward saying that they wanted to receive Him and experience this successful Christian life that is only possible BY HIS SPIRIT. I laid hands on them and they received the Holy Ghost. However, when I gave the altar call, no one stepped forward but I knew by the leading of the Spirit that someone was to give their life to God. At the end Rubie (the first timer) walked up to me and asked to speak with me in private and I knew she was the one to be saved. She told me her past; a religious background but she had been rebelling against it from a young age preferring to party and drink. She said it was so bad that a few weeks ago her body system collapsed due to alcohol. She said that last week her aunty had called her telling her she will meet someone on campus that would reveal Jesus to her which will change her life and today I met her. She had come into the meeting with anger and sadness but as I was preaching she felt a presence come over her and she said she felt like falling off her seat and she noticed that all the anger and sadness had left her. Even more so when she walked in she said she felt like running away because she knew a few of my members who she felt would condemn her as they knew her past however she said something compelled her to stay (I corrected her that it was not a ‘something’ but the Holy Ghost). There is so much to her testimony and I can keep going on but all I can say is I thank God for the Holy Spirit which causes us to will and to do of His good pleasure. She noted that her group of friends are all in the party life but she made a statement that none of them are happy and that she is going back to them tonight to tell the good news and that she will bring at least two to the meeting next week! I’m so excited! I led her to Christ and she received the Holy Ghost and I told her to mark today and her life will no longer be the same. There has been a change.

Another testimony:

One of my leaders who had not been speaking in tongues spoke in tongues during CRC and her testimony is currently inspiring everyone. She has been transformed; she is not the same. She is burning for the gospel like never before. She said that after CRC when she went to church someone asked her where she had been because there was a change and she used that opportunity to testify of her experience at CRC!

Another Testimony:

Today after my meeting, a member that I had been following up for a while texted me by herself to ask me when does the fellowship hold! Indeed it is BY HIS SPIRIT!

One of my leaders walked up to me and gave me £20 to go towards rhapsody payment! It is BY HIS SPIRIT!!!

I could keep going on because my heart is full of joy! I thank God … I can’t keep quiet about his goodness! There are more testimonies, this is just the beginning!
